I started baking at the age of twelve making custom cakes for family birthdays. Every family member would get a unique cake for their birthday. This love for baking grew as I made the cupcakes for a family wedding and Emma's Confections was started. I started to branch out from just cakes and cupcakes into other pastries as I continued. I am currently a Baking & Pastry and Culinary Arts student at Secchia Institute for Culinary Education through Grand Rapids Community College and am expecting to graduate in April of 2024. Through this program I had the opportunity to complete an internship at a bakery in Lahaina, Hawaii from May 2023 to August 2023 where I continued to learn the art of pastries.
